Philip A. Boustani
About
Since October 2024, I have been a PhD student at the chair of Statistical Learning and Data Science at LMU Munich, where I am supervised by Bernd Bischl. As part of my research, I work within the group on Causal and Fair Machine Learning, led by Ludwig Bothmann. My work focuses on fairness in machine learning applications, causal inference, and methods for causal discovery. I receive funding from the Munich Center for Machine Learning (MCML).
Prior to joining LMU, I earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Mannheim and a Master's degree in Statistics from the University of Geneva. I also had the opportunity to spend part of my Master's studies at ETH Zurich.
