David Rundel
About
Since October 2024, I have been a PhD candidate at the Chair of Statistical Learning and Data Science, working within the research group for Automated Machine Learning and Optimization. My research is supervised by Prof. Dr. Matthias Feurer, and my position is funded by the Munich Center for Machine Learning (MCML). My primary research interests are in Automated Machine Learning (AutoML) and Probabilistic Machine Learning (ProbML).
Before joining the lab, I earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Informatics from Stuttgart Media University and a Master's degree in Statistics & Data Science from LMU Munich. I also had the opportunity to spend part of my studies at KTH in Sweden and at McMaster University in Canada.
